Gabion Walls

Gabions are rectangular wire mesh baskets that vary in size. When filled with rock gabions act as free draining retaining wall and erosion control systems.

Gabions are very flexible and strong and therefore can be used both domestically and commercially in rivers, canals, flood ways, roadsides and gardens.

Mattresses are another form of erosion controls that co-inside with gabion retaining walls. Much thinner then gabions mattress can be used on creek beds and floors of flood ways. In some cases Crosana Pty Ltd has planted into the mattresses to further help with erosion control.

Gabions can be utilised as designer walls, stairs, retaining walls and erosion controls.
